Client Challenge 

The client was producing high-clarity stretch films for automated pallet wrapping but faced the recurring issue of performance during production and end applications. This included film surface friction, sticking issues and poor mould release. We aimed to help achieve the perfect balance between transparency and unwind performance.

 Key Issues We Discovered 

➤ Film layers start sticking to each other during roll storage.
➤ Inconsistent unwind force on automatic wrapping machines.
➤ Increased haze using ordinary anti-block additives.

They tried to increase the dosage of ordinary anti-block additives, but this, in turn, impacted the transparency of the film. Also, higher dosage of conventional slip additives caused unstable COF (Coefficient of Friction) and surface migration. The client needed a solution that could maintain clarity while ensuring a smooth and consistent unwind performance.
